PALS

(Playing and Learning to Socialise)

A fun programme using puppets (Kate, Jack and Anna) and songs to help children develop secure social skills.

PALS is an Australian social skills programme for children age 3-6 year. Social skills are of the upmost importance for a child’s future development.  The programme consists of 10 sessions.

The puppets act out a story which poses a social problem.  The children are then asked questions designed to help them solve these problems. 

The 10 sessions each teach one type of social skill.

.Taking turns at play

.Sharing

.Asking for help

.Identifying feelings

.Empathy

.Overcoming fear and anxiety

.Managing frustration

.Calming down and speaking up

There are also songs and Video clips to support each session.
